Our foundation
Sal Ontiveros was born and raised in Menasha, and his connection to the Fox Valley shapes the way he approaches business. The people we serve are neighbors, fellow parents, local business owners, and families building their lives in the same community he calls home. That makes the work personal—and gives Sal a reason to care about more than the finished project.
Sal’s vision for Ontiveros Contracting is to build a company that homeowners can trust and employees can build a future with. He believes that craftsmanship and business success should go hand in hand with honest communication, personal responsibility, and treating people well.
That philosophy shows up in the details, starting with the time and thought put into an estimate. To Sal, explaining the scope, anticipating questions, and helping a homeowner understand their investment are part of doing the job right. Construction is demanding work, but unsafe conditions, burnout, and living paycheck to paycheck should never be treated as unavoidable parts of a career in the trades. We’re working to build an environment where people can speak up about safety, develop their abilities, take pride in their contributions, and have a life outside of work.
Our goals for employee development extend beyond construction skills. We’re also working to make financial literacy and conversations about personal goals part of how we support our team. We want our people to have tools to make informed decisions, build greater stability, and pursue their individual aspirations.
